  There is a lot of bad press going around on blogs and the like about Halfords and the customer service they give, i would like to put a positive story forward to address the issue. through the Cycle to Work scheme, I purchased a Boardman Hybrid Team bike, nearly £700 worth, it is fantastic, and really good to ride, they set it up very well in store. After six months (2500 miles)to my dismay the chain broke, now Im an ex engineer, so I didnt think any problem would arise from me fitting a new chain, duly bought from Halfords- how wrong i was, the chain jumped and I could not ride the bike. Took it back in to the store and Joe, Steffan and team were excellent, they could not have been more helpful or professional, and after some time replaced all the rear gears, cassette and then rear wheel under warranty, no questions asked. It is now back to its former glory. The bike team there are a credit to Halfords and i would reccomend them to anyone.
